Interactive Aquarium
ia/ux/ui | art direction/design
A concept project, the interactive aquarium was created to enhance young patients’ experience when visiting the hospital. Upon arriving, patients are greeted with large interactive aquariums that invite them to build and submit their own fish design to the aquarium. Powered by Kinect technology, the fish react to visitors, delighting all viewers and encouraging interaction. Future expansions include include gaming applications and virtual tours, all built on the idea of enhancing the patient experience.
Our guiding problem statement? How might we help ease young patients’ visits to the hospital?
My role? I was part of the team that brainstormed creative solutions. As a UX designer, I lead the team in developing and designing the experience and the app. As an art director and designer, I developed the look and feel of the experience and created the fish illustrations.
